Singapore’s Changi Airport has been dethroned as the world’s best airport by Doha’s Hamad International Airport, according to air transport rating firm Skytrax. This marks the third time Hamad International Airport has claimed the top spot, having previously won in 2021 and 2022.
The Skytrax survey included travelers from over 100 nationalities and also named Hamad International Airport as the best airport in the world for shopping. Changi Airport, which has been previously crowned the world’s best airport 12 times by Skytrax, took home the titles of “Best Airport in Asia” and the “World’s Best Airport Immigration Service” in this year’s survey.
Incheon International Airport in South Korea jumped to third place (up from No. 4 in 2023) and was recognized as the world’s most family-friendly airport. Tokyo’s Haneda Airport came in fourth and was awarded the title of the “World’s Cleanest Airport.” Narita International Airport in Tokyo rounded out the top five, winning the title of “World’s Best Airport Staff.”
The rankings were based on questionnaires sent to airport customers between August 2023 and March 2024, evaluating key airport services such as check-in, transfer experiences, immigration clearance, shopping, and departures.
According to Skytrax, the top 10 airports in 2024 are as follows:

3. Incheon International Airport
4. Haneda Airport
5. Narita International Airport
6. Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport
7. Dubai International Airport
8. Munich International Airport
9. Zurich International Airport
10. Istanbul International Airport.
