Meta announced the rollout of its free artificial intelligence assistant, Meta AI, across its social media platforms – WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, and Messenger. Meta AI, built on Meta’s latest language model called Meta Llama 3, can answer questions, create animations, and generate images. This artificial intelligence tool competes with OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Google Gemini, and Meta has also partnered with Google and Microsoft to provide search engine results.
According to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Meta AI is now considered the most intelligent free AI assistant available. The assistant is integrated into the search boxes of the mentioned social media apps, allowing users to easily ask questions. Meta AI also offers features like generating images and help with tasks such as solving math problems or writing professional emails on Meta’s website “meta.ai.”
Users can ask Meta AI for various recommendations and receive prompts to refine images or create GIFs. The assistant was first introduced in beta at Meta’s Connect event and is now rolling out in English across several countries.
