In the past, hybrids made up only a small portion of sales within a model range. Now, they are dominating Toyota and Lexus showrooms.

Buyers of the Lexus NX SUV are favoring the NX 350h hybrid and NX 450h plug-in hybrid, resulting in long waiting lists. The more affordable NX 250 model at the lower end of the range has not received the same level of attention, despite being a solid option.

The NX 250 offers a significant cost savings compared to the higher-end models, such as the NX 350h. It comes well-equipped with standard features and is a comfortable place to be, even without the hybrid powertrain.

The Lexus NX range offers a variety of models to suit different budgets and preferences. The NX 250 is the most affordable option, making it an attractive choice for buyers looking for a balance of quality and value.

The NX 250 may not have the same efficiency as the hybrid models or the same power as the turbocharged options, but it still provides a luxurious driving experience at a lower price point. Lexus has ensured that the base model does not compromise on comfort or quality.

Hybrid models are dominating Toyota and Lexus showrooms, with the Lexus NX 350h and NX 450h plug-in hybrid leading the way. However, the NX 250 at the bottom of the range offers plenty on paper and is significantly cheaper than the hybrid models. Despite missing out on some luxury features, the base model still provides a pleasant driving experience and a well-equipped interior.

The Lexus NX 250 comes with a 2.5L 4cyl petrol engine and an 8-speed auto transmission. It doesn’t offer the same efficiency as the hybrid models, but it’s a capable daily driver. The driving experience is comfortable and refined, with a smooth ride quality and excellent sound deadening on the open road. The base model lacks the turbocharged performance of higher models but is still competent for everyday driving.

In terms of features, the Lexus NX 250 includes 18-inch alloy wheels, a power tailgate, automatic LED headlights, a digital instrument cluster, a touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay, heated front seats, and many more. The base model also comes with advanced safety features such as autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control.

Overall, the Lexus NX 250 is a well-rounded base model that offers a luxury driving experience at a more affordable price point. While the hybrid models may offer more efficiency and performance, the NX 250 provides a comfortable and refined driving experience for those on a tighter budget.
